Easy Ham and Cheese Omelette Recipes

So I woke up this morning for a hankering for a big Irish Breakfast but when I checked the fridge, I realized quickly that I’d either have to go to the shop for stuff or cook something else. I decided on the latter and what better way to start your day than a nice big 4 egg omelette with ham and cheese. I call this, my man omelette.

This is a simple easy omelette recipe that you really can’t go wrong with. Well, I guess it could go wrong, I’ve made scrambled eggs before instead of an omelette as I didn’t put enough oil in the pan when I was cooking it. I’ve also burned the bottom of one omelette to a crisp which wasn’t really appetizing either. Anyway, I’ve learnt that a low heat will help not over cook it and throwing in a good helping of oil in the pan will make sure it doesn’t stick to the bottom. Continue reading

This is a very easy recipe and goes down very well at dinner parties or for the odd special occasions.

Pork Chop Burger Recipe

I love burgers, especially making them from scratch, mincing fresh round or sirloin steaks and combining with onions, breadcrumbs and seasoning (that’s for another recipe) but sometimes, I find that when I’m tied for time or just want a nice, big filling meal, I’ll opt for my pork chop burger recipe.

It’s really easy to make and the burger filling can be adjusted to your taste or in my case, whatever is left in the fridge that would go well in a burger! Continue reading

Avocado Guacamole Recipe

I love avocados, one of my favourite quick recipes I make with them is guacamole. This is really quick and easy, a straight forward avocado guacamole recipe that takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. The hardest part is pealing the avocados.

Be sure to use ripe avocados to use, I normally go for ones that are a bit softer but not too soft either. If they are a rock hard, they probably aren’t ripe and will be bitter if you use them. Continue reading
